Bruce Ramshaw

Dr. Ramshaw is a surgeon, a writer, and a medical entrepreneur, having started several companies in the healthcare field. He is also the author of several patents involving medical education, software and medical devices and has had the privilege of performing surgery and presenting laparoscopic and advanced hernia procedures and concepts around the world. In 2004, he became Chief of General Surgery at the University of Missouri where he redesigned General Surgery to implement patient-centered care teams and saw the potential of a new model for healthcare. Since 2010, he has been working with a diverse team, including data scientists and engineers, to apply the principles of systems and data science to real patient care. This led Bruce to leave clinical practice in 2019 to lead a healthcare data analytics company, CQInsights, whose mission is to measure an improve value for patients and vision is to transform our healthcare system.
